The Master of Dental Surgery in Paediatric Dentistry [MDS(PaediatrDent)] programme is designed to train students to become clinically competent paediatric dentists. The programme includes clinical, laboratory and didactic coursework, with major emphasis on clinical training. Upon completion of the programme, students will have completed three years of formal training that are recognised as part of the requirements for specialisation in Paediatric Dentistry in Hong Kong. The programme also includes a research project and dissertation, which will prepare candidates in scientific methodology and equip them to critically analyse the literature. This will allow them to pursue a course of independent research, and eventually become established in a field of research.
