The MSc Advanced Engineering Management (Operations Management) is a one-year full-time programme jointly delivered by the School of Engineering and Birmingham Business School. It is designed to address the challenges faced by engineering graduates transitioning into general management or senior specialist roles, blending management concepts with engineering principles to cultivate leadership and technical skills. The autumn term covers core management topics including strategy, innovation, marketing, organisational behaviour and financial management. The spring term moves into the operations management pathway, exploring operations and civil engineering management principles, best practice in contracts, risk, sustainability and digital tools.
