The MA in Film at Queen's University Belfast offers a rich, diverse curriculum enabling students to specialise in both practice-based and critical approaches to film and other media arts. Supported by state-of-the-art digital production and post-production facilities, including a purpose-built black box studio, students develop skills in film analysis and apply them in creative projects and critical work. The programme is an Avid Learning Partner, offering students the opportunity to earn Media Composer certification. It benefits from strong links with the local film industry and an Industry-led Mentorship Programme. The dissertation may take the form of a written thesis, a short film, or a screenplay with reflective essay.
