The NUS Master of Urban Planning (MUP) is a two-year, full-time, multidisciplinary programme that leverages Singapore and Asian cities as laboratories of planning thought and practice. The curriculum addresses key themes of densification, technology, sustainability and social engagement in rapidly urbanising Asian contexts. Students gain skills through core courses, electives, planning studios, overseas fieldtrips and internship attachments, developing the ability to work across scales from neighbourhood to regional planning. The programme's international teaching faculty and location in Singapore—a centralised planning model integrating physical, demographic, environmental and economic planning—equip graduates to act as effective urban planning professionals and policy-makers worldwide.
