The Intelligence & International Security MA examines the trends shaping intelligence and international security in the 21st century. The programme explores the nature and mechanics of intelligence from a global perspective, covering terrorism, digital espionage, pandemics, and great power rivalries. Students examine the practice of intelligence agencies and their interaction with government and society. Based in the Department of War Studies, the core module — Intelligence in Peace and War — provides a broad perspective on the evolution and practice of intelligence, complemented by specialised optional modules drawing on both academic expertise and practitioner perspectives.
