社会学 MA Sociology

The MA Sociology at Exeter provides students with a sound foundation in sociology at postgraduate level. Drawing on the department's research strengths and interdisciplinary outlook, students explore a range of social research methods alongside theoretical and conceptual tools, learning to apply them in research into the social world. The core module in social theory examines the distinctiveness of human life and experience in late modern society, addressing questions about how social structures shape individual thought and action. Students take optional modules from sociology, anthropology and philosophy, covering areas such as research methods, cultures and environments of health, food and society, and philosophy of science.
