社会学（媒体与文化社会学） MPhil Sociology (The Sociology of Media and Culture)

The MPhil in Sociology (The Sociology of Media and Culture) provides students with the opportunity to study the nature and transformation of media, culture and technology at an advanced level. The programme gives students a firm grounding in the theoretical and empirical analysis of media, culture and technology, enabling them to study particular media and cultural forms in-depth and examine their transformations over time. The four programme elements include a core course covering major theoretical contributions to media and culture, research skills training, optional seminars in Lent term, and a dissertation on theoretically informed empirical analysis of media, culture and technology.
