行星科学与宇宙生命 MPhil Planetary Science and Life in the Universe

This interdisciplinary MPhil develops students' expertise in techniques used to study planets from the Earth's deepest past, through the solar system, to exoplanets. Students gain a working knowledge of the structure of life, its essential physical-chemical requirements, and its impacts on planetary environments. The course is jointly offered across multiple departments including the Institute of Astronomy, Department of Earth Sciences, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry, Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, Department of Biochemistry, and Department of Zoology. Students develop modern data handling and analysis skills, and gain practical experience running interdisciplinary research projects applicable to both academic and industrial settings.
