The MPhil in Education (Education, Globalisation and International Development) is a full-time research programme that introduces students to contemporary issues of globalisation and international development in education, enabling them to interrogate the latest theoretically grounded empirical research. The programme explores the relationship between education and wider socio-economic processes, with a particular focus on countries in the Global South. Students engage with questions of equity and social justice in education and international development, applying diverse theoretical lenses and empirical approaches across Southern contexts, developing critical evaluation skills and autonomous research capacity.
