The MPhil in Education (Arts, Creativity and Education) offers students the opportunity to explore urgent contemporary themes in arts and education research taking place globally. The programme addresses current debates, practices, policy agendas, and epistemic dialogues shaping how art and education are practised across varied contexts. It draws on contributions from specialists in performing arts, visual art, literature, and design and technology, and recognises artistic practices as an essential research tool. Studio and performance facilities are made available to support practice-led inquiry. The programme examines theoretical frameworks in education research, provides training in appropriate research methods, and advances professional reflection and independent research capacity.
