历史学（全球史） MA History (Global History)

The MA History (Global History) at Birmingham offers a global approach to historical change across the world. The programme runs 12 months full-time, comprising 120 credits of taught modules and a 60-credit dissertation. Core modules include Global Histories: Comparisons and Connections, Historical Approaches, and Research Preparation. Optional modules range across Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia. The Department is ranked 8th in the UK in the Research Excellence Framework 2021. Teaching is through small-group seminars with an emphasis on guided independent learning. Students may also choose an optional Public History placement module to gain practical industry experience in a museum, archive, or heritage organisation.
