The Master of Science (Advanced) in Biological Sciences is a flexible program that can be tailored to suit specific educational goals. Students can specialise in areas such as biomedical sciences, ecology and evolution, genetics and plant sciences. The program includes a 48-unit research component providing an opportunity to conduct hands-on research in a laboratory under the supervision of a research scientist and complete a written thesis detailing novel findings. The coursework component includes compulsory research skills courses, science and society units and quantitative methods, with electives drawn from across the university.
