病理学（医学微生物学） Master of Pathology (Medical Microbiology)

The Master of Pathology (Medical Microbiology) is a four-year postgraduate training programme offered by the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, School of Medical Sciences. The programme trains qualified doctors to become specialists in Medical Microbiology, encompassing knowledge and skills in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases with active participation in clinical decision making. It includes in-depth knowledge of the role of the laboratory in both management of infectious diseases and the elucidation of the epidemiology of infection. Graduates provide a critical communication link between the microbiology laboratory and the clinical team, with training also given in laboratory management, infection control and outbreak management.
