The Master of Music (Orchestral Performance) is a practice-based coursework degree that prepares students for specialist careers in instrumental performance, including orchestral, chamber and solo repertoires. Delivered at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, the program engages industry professionals and builds on partnerships with local and regional professional orchestras such as the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Students gain industry experience through side-by-side projects with professionals, ensemble participation and elective placement opportunities. A capstone experience in the final semester provides industry-standard solo and orchestral performance opportunities.
