The MA Linguistics with a Specialisation in Computational Linguistics aims to give students a thorough grounding in both theoretical and computational linguistics. Students gain a basic understanding of the three core areas of linguistics: phonetics and phonology; syntax; and semantics and pragmatics, plus they will be introduced to algorithms and models that implement linguistic theories and form the basis of modern natural language processing systems.
