The MSc Statistical Data Science trains data scientists with foundational and applied skills in statistics and machine learning. The programme spans four thematic areas: data science (statistical machine learning, data mining, predictive analytics), computing (data programming, optimisation, machine learning with Python), fundamental theory (mathematical statistics, multivariate analysis, stochastic models), and communication (technical communication, applied statistical modelling). Students choose from a wide range of optional modules and complete a supervised dissertation. Graduates work at companies including Google, Novartis, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and Meta.
