This one-year conversion MSc is professionally accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), enabling graduates to become accredited planners. Designed for graduates from any undergraduate discipline, the programme provides broad knowledge of planning and the professional skills needed for a career in planning and development. The curriculum covers planning theory and practice, environmental governance, planning law, GIS and spatial analysis, property development, community planning, and regeneration. The programme emphasises applied, project-based learning with live planning problems including fracking and windfarm applications, field studies, and a work-based dissertation option.
