分子生物学与生物技术 Molecular Biology and Biotechnology

This MSc aims to teach the fundamental molecular bioscience underpinning biotechnology along with current applications. Modern biotechnologies exploit organisms at the genetic level and include novel waste treatments, bioremediations, new pharmaceuticals, enzyme-based green catalysis, and advanced diagnostic techniques. The degree is taught by research-active staff in the School of Biological Sciences. Core modules include Biotechnology, Protein Structure and Function, Advanced Molecular Biology, Bio-entrepreneurship, Bioinformatics, and Mass Spectrometry. The programme culminates in a three-month intensive research project in a Queen's laboratory, preparing graduates for careers in research and commercial biotechnology.
