This MSc provides multi-disciplinary education in data analytics, bridging computer science, mathematics, statistics, modelling, and communication skills. The curriculum covers six core modules — Data Analytics Fundamentals, Database and Programming Fundamentals, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Frontiers in Data Analytics, and Analytics in Action — plus a summer Industry Based Project. The programme was designed through direct engagement with industry, ensuring all modules together produce a well-rounded data scientist. No optional modules exist. Practical elements include analytathons using real industry data, and the summer project is industry-based to provide hands-on commercial experience.
