Clinical health psychology is an applied discipline focused on the psychological aspects of physical health conditions, covering prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. This MSc provides advanced study in specialist topics including research methods, health behaviour change, psycho-oncology, and adjustment to long-term physical illness. The programme prepares graduates for advanced research, professional psychology training, or discipline-related professional careers. An optional placement module allows students to gain real-world experience in clinical health settings, working on projects such as developing interventions, evaluating programmes, or creating psychoeducational resources for clinical populations.
