The Economics MRes at Queen Mary University of London is a research-oriented programme for students who already hold a BSc or MSc in economics or a related field. It provides rigorous training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics across two years of study. Year 1 covers six compulsory core modules; Year 2 focuses on advanced electives and a substantial dissertation. The School of Economics and Finance is ranked 8th in the UK and 4th for research outputs in REF 2021. Most graduates continue on to the School's PhD programme, and generous financial assistance is available for outstanding candidates.
