应用语言学与第二语言习得 MSc Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition

The MSc in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition introduces students to key issues within the field of applied linguistics, with a focus on second language learning and teaching. Applied linguistics is an interdisciplinary field mediating between the theory of language and the practice of language learning and use. The course includes six core taught modules and a research dissertation, taken full-time over one year. Research themes include Language, Cognition and Development; Policy, Economy and Society; and Pedagogy, Learning and Knowledge. The programme draws on related fields including psychology, education, linguistics, and sociolinguistics. It is offered by the Department of Education and accepts approximately 35 students per year.
