非洲研究 MSc African Studies

The MSc in African Studies provides a foundation for those who wish to expand their knowledge of African studies. It can be taken as a stand-alone introduction to current debates about Africa, or as preparation for doctoral research. The nine-month programme consists of five components: two core papers on Researching Africa and Understanding Modern Africa, two option papers covering particular themes and disciplines, and a dissertation. Teaching is built around weekly seminars and lectures, with students typically meeting their thesis supervisor once a fortnight. The course is offered by the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) and accepts approximately 26 students per year.
