The MSc in Analytics is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme that provides skills and knowledge for applying cutting-edge data science techniques to business challenges in the modern economy. Analytics is the science of finding patterns in data to aid decision making, rooted in applied mathematics with wide-ranging applications in business, finance, and industry. The programme consists of 30 Academic Units taught over three trimesters, with 18 AU from core courses covering database systems, data mining, operations research, probability and statistics, and 12 AU from elective courses. The curriculum strongly emphasises the application of analytics on real-world data and includes a practicum course.
