This MSc provides a rigorous grounding in key aspects of AI theory and practice, addressing the ever-evolving AI landscape with an emphasis on safe and trusted AI. The course is structured around AI core dimensions including foundations of AI, data science, and machine learning, alongside reasoning, autonomous agents, robotics, and the ethics and philosophy of AI. Students complete a major project potentially in collaboration with an external company applying skills to a real-world problem. Optional modules allow tailoring to interests including philosophy and ethics, human-AI interaction, and robotics. The Department of Informatics is based at Bush House on the Strand Campus, putting students in the heart of London.
