The Global Media Industries MA equips students with the skills needed for a career in the media industries, developing theoretical and sector-based knowledge, practical experience, and transferable skills. The programme provides critical foundations for understanding production, distribution, content, audiences, communication and markets across local, regional, and transnational media contexts. Core learning includes a broad introduction to global media industries perspectives followed by a collaborative project addressing a genuine industry challenge. Students choose elective modules from topics such as children and media, entertainment industries, media and the city, immersive media and extended realities, cultural industries labour, and aesthetic economy.
