The Discipline of Podiatric Medicine is committed to conducting and disseminating high quality research to support and enhance the evidence-base for podiatry. Candidates may be required to submit a research proposal for consideration by the School as part of their application. The EverT (Effective Verrucae Treatment) trial is a pragmatic, randomised controlled trial funded by the Department of Health, UK, through its Health Technology Assessment Programme. Podiatry at NUI Galway is involved in this multi-centre study which is investigating the effectiveness of common interventions for verrucae. The development of an international e-learning learning resource for tissue viability and wound care.
