MSc Applied Data Science and Modelling is an interdisciplinary programme based at Exeter's Penryn Campus in Cornwall, run by the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with science and engineering. The programme immerses students in a fusion of the big data revolution and modern mathematical modelling within a challenges-led learning environment focused on major societal issues including climate, health, and sustainability. Students develop core skills in data science and computational modelling and simulation in Term 1, explore state-of-the-art methods in data science and AI alongside sustainability challenges in Term 2, and complete an advanced data science and modelling project in Term 3.
