材料科学与冶金 MPhil Materials Science and Metallurgy

The MPhil in Materials Science and Metallurgy is a one-year full-time research programme designed to provide advanced training for students with at least three years of university-level education in a relevant field. Students carry out an independent research project under the close supervision of an academic staff member within the Department's Research School. The programme develops a comprehensive understanding of research techniques and the relevant literature, trains students in originality of thought, critical evaluation of current research methodologies, and self-directed problem-solving. Graduates may continue to a PhD, subject to demonstrating sufficient research potential during the MPhil year.
