The MSc Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Birmingham provides the skills and knowledge needed to address urgent sustainability challenges in the chemical sector and beyond. The 1-year full-time course consists of 180 credits: 120 credits of taught modules assessed through coursework, short reports, and presentations, plus a 60-credit summer research project conducted within pioneering research groups in the brand-new Molecular Sciences Building. Autumn term focuses on Circular Economy and Life Cycle Assessment with research skills development; spring term covers sustainable chemistry research including carbon capture materials, solar cells, battery materials, Green Chemistry, and solid-state reactivity.
