The MSc Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham is designed for registered physiotherapists seeking to enhance their clinical expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, hands-on manipulative techniques, and research capabilities. Study takes place across three terms: the autumn term covers assessment and management of lower quadrant conditions; the spring term addresses upper quadrant conditions; and the summer term focuses on a research dissertation and 100 clinical placement hours through the Continuing Professional Development in Mentored Practice module.
