历史学（中世纪与近代早期史） MA History (Medieval and Early Modern History)

The MA History (Medieval and Early Modern History) at Birmingham enables students to explore the complexity and diversity of the medieval period (c.300 to c.1500) and the early modern period (c.1500 to c.1800). The programme runs 12 months full-time, comprising 120 credits of taught modules and a 60-credit dissertation. Core modules include Historical Approaches and Research Preparation, with optional modules covering archaeology, manuscripts, Latin, Greek, and religious culture. The programme draws on dedicated research centres including the Centre for the Study of the Middle Ages and the Centre for Reformation and Early Modern Studies. Teaching is through small-group seminars, and students may choose an optional Public History placement with a museum or archive.
