The LLM Law and Social Justice at the University of Birmingham explores how the law helps societies achieve social justice. Students examine legal solutions to global challenges including racial and gender inequality and the climate crisis. The programme combines the latest academic theory with real-world relevance, developing practical skills from experts working at the forefront of social justice. With a diverse range of optional modules, students can specialise in topics such as Human Rights and Health Law, Law of Renewable Energy and Climate Change, and Race, Ethnicity and Criminal Justice. The course runs over 12 months full-time and comprises 120 credits of taught modules and a 60-credit dissertation.
