分子生物科学（生物信息学） Molecular Biosciences (Bioinformatics) MSc

This MSc allows students to study at the interface of biological and computational sciences to help address the world's biggest challenges in health, food biosecurity and environmental sustainability. The programme provides a broad understanding of the molecular basis of biological systems, with a focus on the increasingly crucial role that bioinformatics plays in modern biosciences. Students develop expertise in computational methods for analysing large biological datasets from Next Generation Sequencing and omics technologies. Year 1 covers taught modules and a professional placement in summer; Year 2 is dedicated to an extended research project across both semesters. The placement provides hands-on industry experience in academic, clinical, industrial or commercial settings.
