This MSc explores the causes and effects of major threats facing global societies, with a focus on the interplay between gender and politics. The Gender Politics pathway builds understanding of the complex, intertwined relationship between gender and politics and how it is shaped by global challenges. Students examine the role of gender in an often-volatile international arena, covering inequalities in domestic and international politics, approaches to diplomacy, human security, human rights, and peace processes. Graduates gain in-depth career-focused knowledge of how gender politics impacts global diplomacy and policymaking structures, critical gender analysis skills, and advanced research and communication competencies. An alternative consultancy project is also available.
