This MSc provides rigorous training in the three main strands of economics: microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Students can explore specialist areas including macroeconomic policy, banking, investment decision-making, environmental economics, behavioural economics, and machine learning applications. Instruction is led by field experts with access to industry-standard software including EViews, Stata, Matlab, and Python, as well as Bloomberg Terminals for real-time financial data. The programme deliberately limits enrolment to maintain a collegiate atmosphere and high degree of interaction between students and lecturers. It culminates in a dissertation or consultancy project with external organisations such as Currie & Brown, Fathom Consulting, and Oxquant.
